I have been waiting for Vander's story from the beginning of this series and J. Saman absolutely delivered the best story EVER!!! Vander is the broody, very private billionaire whose "secret work" has help many of his family members and very close friends. You can say he lives on the shadows until one morning by accident he runs into his high school sweetheart Liora, the one woman he gave his heart to and apparently he never got it back. Liora is single mom trying to make a life for her daughter, working two jobs and going to medical school. She is working herself ragged just to try to get by. When Vander enters her life she is unsure to trust him after all he is the one man that broke her heart and left her when she needed him the most. Vander is doing absolutely everything in his power to make Liora's life easier, from giving her a job to moving her and her daughter into his home. What stars as a helping hand becomes something else entirely. The love they once had returns so much stronger, their chemistry and sensual tension is explosive and when Liora's life is in danger Vander is there to do everything in his power to protect her. I just love how Vander is able to open his heart to Liora and her daughter or as he refers "his girls". The broody billionaire is a big teddy bear deep inside and I love seeing that part of him. The wait was so well worth it!
