This book is severely underrated and I need more people to read this and Shalini’s work, because her writing is brilliant. The writing is beautiful, heartbreakingly so given the history of the FMC Sarai, who’s a female prosecutor with lie detecting magic, as she seeks revenge of her attempted murder 4 years previous and the case was closed without justice, and the conflict of vengeance and love while working alongside the main suspect who’s misunderstood, broody and bloodthirsty. This story is so unique, full of twists and political injustice, loads of feminine rage and a slow burn romance that is 😮‍💨😮‍💨 Kadra, the man you are “I belong to you, I will always belong to you” I just adore you, your writing, your voice and the human that are.
