Thank you to the Author for the ARC; all opinions are my own. 5 ⭐️ 3 🌶 I absolutely love Zoey Draven's prose! Amaia and Alaryk were the perfect slow-burn 🔥This one was full of political intrigue, who-to-trust, and reluctant allies-to-lovers vibes. Amaia wants to do right by her family and make sure they're safe, so she agrees to go in her brother's place to Grym to work in the Elthika hatchery as a spy 👀. Unfortunately, she's also hiding heartstone magic and is immediately singled out by the Karath, Alaryk. Due to some unforseen circumstances, the two are drawn together to break a curse and hence the slow-burn begins 🤭🔥and when it happens? HOT. Their dynamic was so good, and I am so happy 😭 There was a lot more world building in this one and I LOVED IT.
