The writing was exceptional, the dark humor landed perfectly, and the banter between the characters was some of the best I've read in a long time. I'm going to say something that might be unpopular: this book beats Butcher & Blackbird for me. There, I said it. Malek, the Irish Mob's executioner, and Seven, the mortician known as the Cleaning Lady, were the perfect match. Their chemistry was fantastic, their personalities bounced off each other effortlessly, and both characters were wonderfully feisty. I also loved the overall aesthetic and atmosphere of the story. Everything worked together to create a unique, darkly entertaining reading experience. If you enjoy dark romance with humor, memorable characters, sharp banter, and a touch of chaos, I highly recommend this one. I couldn't put it down.
