I don’t really get it in real life… but I love reading it 🤭😛. I wouldn’t exactly call this a full-on enemies-to-lovers tho, it felt more like animosity-to-lovers, which honestly hit even better for me. I really enjoyed watching Noah go from “I’m doing this to mess with him” to “I’m doing this because I actually like him”, the shift was subtle but satisfying. And the thing is that Noah likes seen Lane mad (yeah, he is that crazy). Lane’s journey toward self-acceptance and realizing there’s nothing wrong with who he is, was rocky and painful, but so beautifully written. I especially appreciated how the author didn’t rush through the legal aftermath. The trial, deposition, and testimony were given the space they deserved instead of being summarized with a quick “it happened, and they were found guilty” ✨. Overall, I really, really liked this one. Emotional, honest, and just the right mix of tension and tenderness. Definitely worth the read!
