About this book
In a brutal, dystopian city where humans reign supreme and the Fae are enslaved, Raven lives on the margins, constantly running from the shadows of her past. Trapped in a world of poverty and sin, she survives by her wits alone, marked by scars that make her an outcast even among her own kind. Her tenuous existence is upended by two dangerous men who both claim a stake in her life: Cyrus, the volatile and magnetically attractive leader of the Fae under-city, and Reid, a ruthless human Authority Agent who marks her as his personal pet. This dark, high-stakes MFM romance thrives on tension and shifting loyalties. As Raven navigates the treacherous tug-of-war between her two captors, a greater threat emerges. Demonic forces begin slaughtering both humans and Fae alike, forcing unlikely alliances in a desperate fight for survival. With a war brewing and her own mysterious history coming to light, Raven must decide whether to submit to her captors or ignite a revolution that could burn their world to the ground. Packed with intense magic, raw passion, and visceral danger, this story is a gripping descent into a world where survival is the only objective.

Killer. I’ve been called it all and so much worse. And they’re not wrong. I’ve been running my whole life. Hiding from the monsters who haunt my dreams and who will tear me apart again and again if they ever find me. I live off whatever I can steal, trapped inside a fae prison city filled with pollution, sin and poverty. Humans have captured the Fae. We belong to them now. My scars make me a bad omen to my people, who shun and torment me at every turn. Cyrus, the egotistical and frustratingly gorgeous leader of the fae under-city, can’t seem to decide whether he wants to kill me or claim me for his own dark and delicious desires. And Reid, a dangerous and hypnotically beautiful human Authority Agent whose sole purpose should be to keep me in the dirt, has decided to keep me as his own personal Pet instead. But when dark, demonic creatures start attacking, killing human and Fae alike, alliances must be made, especially when the monsters seem to be determined to find and slaughter me. A dormant war is awakening, and the part I must play in it is only just becoming clear. Do I stand and fight? Or do I strike the match and watch them all burn? 0Dark Dystopian Why Choose Fantasy
Image 76: A 1x1 image, likely be a tacker probe Amazon Customer](javascript:void(0)) 4 out of 5 stars Dark Dystopian Why Choose Fantasy This book threw me straight into a brutal, dystopian world where the fae are enslaved, mistreated, and imprisoned by humans, and it does not shy away from the darkness. Raven, our 18-year-old FMC, is a gritty, clever survivor who’s been through hell and still keeps fighting. It honestly shocked me that she was only 18—sometimes she read much older, other times her age showed in her decisions, but it all felt real for a girl shaped by survival. The plot is intense and layered - full of rebellion, secrets, and dangerous choices. Raven is caught in a brutal world where trusting the wrong person could get her killed. It’s nonstop tension, and I couldn’t put it down. Now let’s talk about the MMCs: hot, brooding, dominant, and absolutely infuriating. Naturally, I loved them. 😏 The dynamic between the trio is messy, painful, and full of unresolved tension. Don’t expect soft love here—this is enemies to lovers with a side of betrayal and emotional chaos. The pacing kept me hooked, the spice was there (though not super heavy), and the betrayals had me annoyed with how quickly Raven forgave them... but the ending gave me hope for what’s to come. If you’re into dark fantasy with gritty stakes, morally gray characters, and tension that walks the line between hate and want, you’ll want to add this to your TBR. Just… emotionally prepare yourself first. I’ll definitely be picking up book 2 soon. 🖤 Tropes: 🔮 Dark dystopian fantasy 🧚♀️ Fae x human conflict ⚔️ Enemies to lovers 💫 Fated mates 🔥 Why choose? 🕵️ Hidden identity 💔 Betrayal 🌶️ 2/5 Peppers ‼️ Major TWs—please check before reading!!
