It is a modern day princess story with a dark mafia romance twist. This is an enemies to lovers taken to a WHOLE new level and I loved every moment of it. Eshe (the olori) next in line to be oba. Kidnapped when she was as a teenager, which damaged her mentally, emotionally, and physically. Then, to see her mother (the oba) murdered in the streets of Boston. She is convinced her jealous manipulative, vindictive aunt (Abena) is behind it all, including the hired assassin that’s out to kill her. Which is also happens to be the man that she has been stalking for the last two years. The Huntsman the assassin, the hitman, the boogeyman. The man with a past that has left him as mentally and emotionally scarred as the princess that he’s been hired to assassinate. Found himself in quite the position on the night he decided to attempt to carry out his contract. 🫣🤭 This book kept me laughing and intrigued with the playful, sensual, spicy banter and moments between Eshe and Huntsman. But the twists, turns, and let’s not forget the secrets the unfolded in this book, kept you committed to see how the story ends.
