My sweet babies, I loved their story so much. Devon I've loved since he was first introduced and am so happy to see him overcome and find himself. He was written beautifully. The struggles he faced with his self worth and how he was raised and to find love and joy and happiness, just perfectly done. It was a heartwarming journey to watch unfold. Christian...his perfect match in every way. I loved Christian journey in finding himself. Christian is such a protector and unwavering to all those he loves. I'm a firm believer in the things we face in life happen for a reason...despite the heartache and the hurdles they ended up exactly where they were meant to. They just had to forgive to be able to take that next step. I loved how all the characters were brought in throughout this book. Giving a little more to each of their happy endings. I won't put any spoilers of specifics, but each character I loved in their own ways and each of their journeys was given the perfect ending. This is a must read y'all! The whole series! "This is the happy ending that we built ourselves". Life isn't fair sometimes...but we persevere! This book and the rest of the series is a testament to never giving up! A story of Forgiveness! He needs a distraction, a new project, and who better to play with than someone who pretends to feel nothing at all? The hot shot wants to save me, but I'm beyond redemption. And the moment he decides I'm worth something is the moment I have the power to destroy us both. Christian I've been chasing adrenaline my entire life. The rush of a loud engine, that moment my feet catch air at high speed. My bike and my friends are all I ever needed. At least, until they moved on without me. Now nothing feels the same. When a ghost from the past drops into my lap, I tell myself it's temporary. Just something slow and steady to keep the loneliness at bay. Trusting Devon burned me once, I'd be a fool to do it again. The more I get to know him, though, the more I see beneath his mask. I just hope it's not too late to love him the way he deserves.
