It is one thiccc book but I cannot wait for Book 2 in the Murder & Mayhem series. If you like Dark Paranormal Romance that just so happens to be a Bully Romance too with Why Choose, Enemies to Lovers, Banter, Primal and so much more, then this book is for you! Without spoilers, in Death Trap, you meet Lilith who has had Death following her as long as she can remember, where anyone that touches her gets unalived. She has struggled with being alone her whole life and when she finally gets out on her own and begins working at a restaurant Voodoo, becoming kind of friends with Shem and Sam and her cat Chaos to come home to, she feels like her luck might be turning around because Death has left her alone for 4 years. But when Sam goes missing, her streak without seeing Death is up and on top of that her boss brings in Reaver as a new bartender and he is a downright awful to her. Reaver does everything in his power to belittle her and really tries to break her when he forces her to strike a reluctant alliance. But little does Lilith know there are secrets that are dying to be revealed and her life is about to change. My heart broke for Lilith throughout this story because she truly felt everything was her fault, with everyone being unalived around her, when she just wanted the pain to stop. And as much as the men pushed her to her breaking point, she hated how much they affected her and comes to want their affection.
