I loved the secret society aspect. The Firm was introduced so seamlessly and naturally that it felt like a hidden piece of the world we just hadn’t noticed before. Super intriguing and well-executed. 👀✨ That said… Wyatt, babe, why didn’t you stop to think at any point?! 😤 It was frustrating that he never questioned what happened between him and Matt, not even to entertain the idea that something might not add up. He just ran with the worst assumptions and refused to even ask for the truth until it was almost too late. Argh! Meanwhile, Matt is a literal cinnamon roll who deserves the world. I adored him and his quiet strength. He’s the kind of character that makes you want to jump into the book just to give him a hug. 🥺💛 I’m also very excited about the rest of this series, there’s so much more to explore with The Firm and the Buckingham brothers. 👔🔐 And can we talk about the mysterious death of Matt’s father? 🤨 It wasn’t illness, and he couldn’t have been that old… My personal theory is that one of the Buckingham brothers took him out, and honestly? Good for them. That man was awful and had it coming. If I’m wrong, I still don’t care.
