A woman after my own heart.” Romi and Dante are soooooo 🥵. The push and pull between these two was off the charts. Neither one is going to take anyone’s nonsense. They are equally unhinged, stubborn, and headstrong. Meaning they’re perfect for each other. Everything I love in a story is here, mafia romance, unhinged main characters, witty banter, and a protective possessive mmc swoon “he’s more lethal than I would’ve ever imagined, and I’ve become some kind of carnal obsession.” Romi Lutton has been through a serious loss and is trying to escape the guilt and hurt she’s feeling. On a self destructive path, her friends step in and decide she needs a roommate to help get her back onto a healthier life. Dante sees this as the perfect opportunity to screw with his brother Lorenzo whom he is seeking revenge for old wounds. Dante sees Romi as an in to Lorenzo’s life since she is best friends with his life. However he quickly becomes a positive influence on Romi, making sure she eats, cleaning up, not being scared by her destructiveness.
