Trinity Gallagher has spent years away from her family’s mafiä world after surviving a devastating childhood event involving her dear best friend. After many years of isolation growing up and now determined to finally create a normal life for herself, on her graduation day she’s takên by Brody, an enforcer for a rival Irish faction who is just as desperate for love and acceptance as she is. What starts as a cąptor/captivë situation quickly turns into an emotional/high stakes journey across California, Texas, and New Orleans while Russian enemies close in from every direction. The chemistry between Trinity and Brody was incredibly intense, filled with tension, vulnerability, and emotional depth that kept me completely invested in their relationship. What made this story stand out for me was how these two lonely people were searching for acceptance and instead end up finding comfort in each other when their own families failed them. Brody especially stole my heart because despite his tough exterior, all he ever wanted was to feel chosen and loved. Watching him finally choose Trinity over his lifelong need for approval was such a powerful moment. The story is definitely a page turner, the betrayal absolutely hurt and the final showdown felt so cinematic and emotional. I also loved that the ending focused on healing, trust and finally closing a chapter from the past. This was such an addictive read and definitely one of my favorites in the Irish Kings series so far.
